The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion (Korean: Manyeo) is a 2018 South Korean science fiction movement horror film written and directed by Park Hoon-jung. A sequel, The Witch: Part 2. The Other One, changed into launched on 15 June 2022.
A young female escapes from a mysterious laboratory after a violent incident that leaves many lifeless. Two contributors that run the lab, Dr. Baek and Mr. Choi, considered her lifeless. The woman collapses on a farm, where she is located by the proprietor, Mr. And Mrs. Goo. His spouse nurses the woman returned to health and adopts her.
10 years later, the woman, named Ja-yoon, is living a normal life with none reminiscence of her beyond. Her own family is struggling financially, her mom is displaying early signs of dementia, and Ja-yoon is suffering periodic bouts of migraines. In an attempt to earn cash, she decides to audition for a country wide making a song contest that guarantees a massive praise. She impresses the judges along with her special expertise – the telekinetic potential to make the microphone levitate. This makes Dr. Baek and Mr Choi comprehend that Ja-yoon is the woman that escaped and send men to recapture her.
